Daughter and father duo, Kelly and Chip Molthrop, have created an adorable picture book called THE ABC ANIMAL HOSPITAL.
Whether it is the aardvark aching with ant bites, the nutria in need of a nose job or the vulture veering from vertigo, this charming glimpse into the world of numerous animals with their health ailments is a delightful way to teach and reinforce the alphabet to eager young learners and pre-readers. The ABC Animal Hospital is also a perfect book for children who might be experiencing a hospital visit for the first time or who have a friend or family member going to the hospital.
Kelly Molthrop, the youngest of four children, shares her father’s love of basketball and storytelling and did the illustrations for this book when she was only eight. Kelly is now a bright 12 year old in the 7th grade with aspirations of being a veterinarian one day and gets her inspiration from her frequent visits to a turtle refuge in Ponce Inlet, Florida.
Chip Molthrop grew up in New Orleans, graduated from Isidore Newman School and Louisiana State University Medical School. He has written poems and stories for and with his children over the years but his is their first work to be published.
They currently reside in Orlando.
